The Eckstein Memorial Library is a member of the Southwest Wisconsin Library System (SWLS) based in Fennimore, WI, the hub of the 5-county service area.
NetSouthwest is the name of the 27 libraries and 2 branches linked by a shared catalog and circulation system.
The shared catalog (called VERSO) puts the collections of all the member libraries at our fingertips.
Items you request are usually available through Interlibrary Loan if they are not available at EML, and are delivered  within 7 to 10 days.
We can also borrow books from any library in the state of Wisconsin.

  • Children’s Programs
  • Public access computers (4) & High-Speed Internet
    • The Eckstein Memorial Library public access computers are available for use by patrons age 12 or older.
    • Children under the age of twelve may use the computers if accompanied by an adult.
    • The internet computers may be used for one hour per patron per day.
    • It you would like a computer at a certain time; you may reserve one by calling (608) 725-5838.

  • On-going Book Sale in our lobby
  • Lamination
    • Lamination jobs are run on Thursdays.
    • Items to be laminated can be dropped off any time during the week.
    • Pick-up time is after 2:00 pm on Thursdays.
    • Cost is 5 cents per inch.
